Islam Awareness Week 2015 – Part 1

‘Islam Awareness Week’ takes place annually between February and March in universities across the UK.

In preparation for the 2015 ‘Islamic Awareness Week’ season, we provided training for university Islamic Societies (ISOCs). In London alone, in conjunction with the Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS), we delivered training for eleven different university groups on the topic of how to discuss and convey the message of Islam, in a clear and compassionate way on campus.

For those who were not able to attend our training courses, we delivered an online dawah training webinar for FOSIS, where over 100 ISOC members attended to learn how to convey the message of Islam in a rational, intellectual and nuanced manner.

Following on from the training, iERA was invited to deliver talks and reminders ranging from ‘Does God Exist’, ‘The Remarkable Qur’an’ to ‘Why Islam?’ at universities. These included The University of Edinburgh, Bristol University, UCL, Kings College London, to name but a few.

There are many more talks planned for ‘Islam Awareness Week’ in March 2015.
